'Cats downed on the road at Duquesne, 64-62

Hopkins and Tchoukuiegno each tally a team-high 12 points in the losing effort
PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell at A-10 foe Duquesne, 64-62 on Saturday afternoon at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
The Wildcats fall to 4-4 overall, while the Dukes improve to 4-7 overall on the season.
UNH was paced offensively by Josh Hopkins (Greensboro, N.C.) and Blondeau Tchoukuiegno (Montreal, Quebec) who registered 12 points apiece in the losing effort for the Wildcats.
Seniors Jayden Martinez (Cibolo, Texas) and Nick Guadarrama (Newington, Conn.) added 11 and 10 points, respectively for the Wildcats. Martinez shot 3-for-5 from the three-point arc and added seven rebounds.
Senior center Tayler Mattos (New London, N.H.) added eight points to go along with a career-high 16 rebounds.
Both teams shot 39% from the field on the game, while the Wildcats owned a 42-37 rebounding advantage in the road contest.
The Wildcats trailed Duquesne by a 31-26 score at halftime.
Primo Spears and Kevin Easley each totaled a team-high 12 points in the victory for the Dukes.
UNH returns to action on Monday, December 13 against Keene State. Game time from Lundholm Gymnasium on ESPN3 is 7 p.m.
