DURHAM, N.H. - The eight-time America East champion University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team has named senior Emily Dolloff-Holt (Austin, Colo.), and juniors Megan Carroll (Haverhill, Mass.) and Ciara McCormack (Milford, Mass.) captains for the 2020-21 season.
"We are really excited about the group we have selected for our 2020-21 captains," said head coach Josh Willman. "Each will bring their dedication to our program, love for our sport and leadership skills to help us in our efforts next season. Meg is one of our most talented divers and her enthusiasm and work ethic sets a great example. Ciara is truly loved by her teammates and has the calm and respectful demeanor that will make her a great captain. Emily's experience and willingness to put 'team first' makes her a perfect role model for our large incoming freshman class."
Dolloff-Holt is a three-time All-America East honoree. She earned silver in the 200 breast in both 2019 and 2020, while she took bronze in the 200 fly as a freshman in 2018. Dolloff-Holt is also a two-time member of the America East All-Academic Team (2019 and 2020).
Carroll competed in the 2019 America East Championship where she finished 13th in the one-meter dive (201.82) and 14th in the three-meter dive (191.25). She also set her career record in both the one-meter dive (201.82) and three-meter dive (225.07) on January 14, 2019 at Maine.
McCormack just recently won the team's 2020 Most Improved Award. She posted three top-10 finishes at the 2020 America East Championships placing fourth in the 1650 free, ninth in the 500 free and 10th in the 200 free. McCormack was a member of the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2019.
