Meg Champagne claims first individual AE Championship.
BOSTON – The University of New Hampshire women's track & field team took fourth overall at this years America East Indoor Championship meet held at Boston University. The Wildcats claimed their second gold medal on day two and 10 podium finishes on their way to 100.5 team points.
Leading the way for New Hampshire on day two was senior Meg Champagne(Plattsburgh, N.Y.) who claimed her first individual America East title when she won the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:38.69. She was joined on the podium by seniors Elisabeth Danis(Nottingham, N.H.) and Eve Glasergreen(Clinton, N.J.) finishing fourth (9:50.65) and seventh (9:57.72) respectively.
In the indoor mile, fifth-year senior Shannon Murdock(Exeter, N.H.) followed up her gold-medal performance on Friday with a runner-up finish on Saturday, finishing second in 4:53.31; joining her on the podium was sophomore Nicole Yeomans(Foxborough, Mass.) in third with a new personal best time of 4:55.13, and senior Michaella Conery(Concord, N.H.) in fifth with a time of 5:00.41.
The Wildcats' 100.5 points was good for fourth in the team standings, the teams best overall finish since the 2017 Indoor Championships when they finished third with the same team score.

The 4x800m relay team of sophomore Heather Linscott(Hingham, Mass.), freshman Cailey Archer(Berthoud, Colo.), junior Shaylyn Saunders(Hudson, N.H.), and senior Brianne Moss(Shrewsbury, Mass.) had UNH's best mark in that event this season as they finished third overall with a time of 9:09.89.
Sophomore Saige Tudisco(Haverhill, Mass.) took sixth in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 9.22 seconds.
In the 1000m, sophomore Lauren Dean(Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H.) took sixth overall in 2:55.68. The mark just barely missed her personal best time of 2:55.17 in that event.
In the 4x400m relay, the team of freshman Lauren Noble(Rochester, N.H.) sophomore Zakiya Scott(Brooklyn, N.Y.), sophomore Crismeily Borg(Nashua, N.H.) and Saige Tudiscotook seventh with a time of 3:56.54, UNH's best mark in that event this season.
Sophomore Sarah Williams(Dover, N.H.) wrapped up her weekend scoring in the shot put with a throw of 40'4", good for an eighth place finish.
