UNH travels to Northeastern for the 2020 NEICAAA Indoor Championships.
DURHAM, N.H. – Coming off a big weekend at home and on the road, the University of New Hampshire men's track & field team looks to continue its improvement on the indoor season as the Wildcats take on the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) indoor championships this Friday and Saturday, January 31 and February 1. The meet will take place at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston, Mass.
The Wildcats won their home tri-meet and had some high finishes at the Terrier Invitational, and now are looking to get into the championship season mindset with a big-level meet with the region's top teams.
Once again New Hampshire will look to the throws by way of Zachary Astle (Newbury, N.H.) after another sweep of the throwing events in UNH's home victory; he'll be joined by Jacob Dearborn (Wolfeboro, N.H.) in the shot put and the weight throw.
UNH got big production at the Terrier Invitational from the jumping crew of Nate Hobbs (Peabody, Mass.) and Jordan Buckmire (Nashua, N.H.) and will look to that duo again in a high-level meet.
On the track, the Wildcats will once again look for consistent production that's been provided this season from Nicolas Sevilla-Connelly (Chester, N.H.), Aidan Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) James Wilkes (Concord, N.H.) and Matthew Adams (Concord, N.H.). Sevilla-Connelly had a top-two finish in the home meet while Sullivan and Adams took on the Terrier Invitational, Adams with a top-10 finish in the 800m.
MEET INFO:
Date: Jan. 31 – Feb. 1, 2020
Location: Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center – Boston, Mass.
First Event Time: 10 AM (Both days).

FROM THE COACH
"This will be our first venture into being in the bigger meet, after three straight home meets, it's kind of one those are 'get your competitive juices going' meets; this will be a much bigger meet with strong teams like URI, UConn, Southern Conn. I can't predict what we'll do team-wise, but we should have a good meet. It's week three of the semester, it's just a matter of getting into the championship season mindset that placing is more important than time."
