New Hampshire will send multi-eventers Bosibori Mosongo (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Saige Tudisco (Haverhill, Mass.); both are slated to compete in the long jump, while Mosongo will also take on the 400-meter dash, and Tudisco will also compete in the hurdles.
Other short-distance runners will include Kelly Crawford (Mansfield, Mass.) in the 200m and Zakiya Scott (Brooklyn, N.Y.) also in the 400m.
"All four of them performed well at the home meet [last weekend] and we're excited to get them on a fast track in the facility where the conference meet is going to be held," says head coach Robert Hoppler. "We're excited about what they can do.
In the distance events, UNH will send down seven athletes competing in four events; Lauren Dean (Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H.) is set to compete in the 1000m, Shannon Murdock (Exeter, N.H.) and Nicole Yeomans (Foxborough, Mass.) will compete in the mile, newcomer Eve Glasergreen (Clinton, N.J.) will see action in the 3000m, and the trio of Meg Champagne (Plattsburgh, N.Y.), Madeline Quigley (Rowley, Mass.), and Caroline Mahoney (Bedford, N.H.) will compete in the 5000m.
"The distance kids are coming off a great fall, and we've had a nice period of training over break," says Hoppler. "Now we're looking forward to getting into competitive, high-level racing situations, and we're excited about the preparation and we're ready to get into the fray."
