HOW IT HAPPENED
Rotation 1 – Uneven Bars (48.700)
•The Wildcats started strong on bars by hitting 6-for-6 routines to build momentum. Riley Freehling (Southington, Conn.) scored a 9.725 (T-3rd), followed by Lui's impressive career-tying performance. A great flight from Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa. / 9.650, 8th) set up Mulligan's winning bar performance.
Rotation 2 – Vault (49.025)
•Winer started the rotation strong with her personal-best performance and an impressive stick. Courtney Bondanza (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Erin Carroll (Kingston, N.H.) brought the height and landings with back-to-back 9.775s (T-8th), and the final three in the lineup (Mulligan, O'Leary, Diggan) each scored a 9.800 to earn a share of fourth.
Rotation 3 – Floor Exercise (49.175)
•The Wildcats posted their highest score of the night on floor and counted no score lower than a 9.800. O'Leary's brilliant performance was followed by Lui's personal best, and then the trio of Winer, Mulligan, and Diggan followed with consecutive 9.800s. Watkins energized the team with her career-high-tying performance to put a bow on a memorable rotation.
Rotation 4 – Balance Beam (49.125)
•Led by Mulligan, UNH concluded the meet with a first-place score on beam. Freehling started out with a 9.825, which tied Winer and UC Davis duo Alyssa Ito and Kyla Kessler for third. Hannah Baddick (Gettysburg, Pa.) scored a 9.800 (seventh) and a strong finish by Lui (9.775, eighth).
