Wildcats place second to host Wolfpack while defeating GWU and Yale
RALEIGH, N.C. – Senior Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) tallied team-leading scores on vault and uneven bars and won the all-around championship to help the UNH gymnastics team register its highest road score of the season in Friday night's second-place finish at the North Carolina State quad meet at the Reynolds Coliseum.
UNH (15-3, 4-0 EAGL) scored a 195.175 to defeat George Washington (194.125) and Yale (192.125). The host Wolfpack won the meet by scoring a 196.700.
Mullin totaled a 39.175 to edge NC State's Deana Sheremeta (39.000) in all-around, with junior Grace Ockerbloom (Granby, Conn.) taking third (38.975).

The Wildcats opened the meet on bars (48.475), with Mullin scoring a 9.800 for fourth place. Sophomore Peyton Novinger (Hershey, Pa.) posted a 9.750 for a share of fifth, and Ockerbloom tied for 11th with a 9.675. NC State's Caroline Volk topped the podium with a 9.900.
Sophomore Mady Harvey (Freeland, Mich.), EAGL's top-ranked balance beam competitor, set the pace for the 'Cats beam lineup (48.800) with a 9.850 to share third place with Volk and NC State's Autumn Rardin. Mullin and senior Riley Himes (Orlando, Fla.) each scored a 9.750 to tie for ninth place, while Ockerbloom and junior Poulina Minaev (Smithtown, N.Y.) tied for 11th (9.725). The Wolfpack's Adasyn Tackett took first place with a 9.900.
In the third rotation, Minaev and Ockerbloom were the Wildcats' co-leaders on floor exercise (49.050) with matching marks of 9.850 for fourth place. Mullin and junior captain McCall McMullen (Athens, Ga.) earned a share of seventh place by scoring a 9.800. Rardin won floor with a 9.900.
Closing the meet on vault (48.850), McMullen and Mullin each equaled a season high with a 9.825 to tie for fourth place. Sophomore Stacy Boss (Richboro, Pa.) scored a 9.775 for a share of 10th, and Ockerbloom posted a 9.725 (T-16th). GWU's Alison Mun won vault with a 9.875.
