Senior wins vault, bars, beam (tie) and all-around
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) set a personal best with a 39.425 all-around score, which tied the fourth-best mark in program history, and the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team defeated North Carolina, 194.950-194.275, in Friday night's EAGL dual meet at Carmichael Arena.
With its sixth straight win, UNH improved to 12-2 and 3-1 in EAGL competition.
Mulligan earned first place on vault with a career-high 9.900, took first on uneven bars with a 9.900 and tied for first on balance beam (9.850) to win her sixth all-around title of the season. She became the first Wildcat to achieve a 39.425 in AA since Austyn Fobes on Jan. 6, 2013.
Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) tied Mulligan and UNC's Jamie DeCicco for the beam championship.

•The 'Cat gymnasts will honor their favorite faculty and staff members prior to the meet in addition to welcoming former Wildcat greats back to Lundholm Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED

•The Wildcats established themselves by going 6-for-6 in the opening rotation. From the anchor spot, Mulligan topped the podium on bars for the sixth straight meet and for the seventh time in nine meets this season. Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) and North Carolina's Rylie Dewhurst tied for second place (9.825), while Riley Freehling (Southington, Conn.) chipped in with a 9.725 for a share of fifth.
Second Rotation – Vault (48.900)
•Mulligan's career-best vault mark nipped UNC's Khazia Hislop (9.875, second place) and Mikayla Robinson (9.825, third). Diggan, Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass.), Courtney Bondanza (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Nicole O'Leary (Newtown, Conn.) each scored a 9.750 (T-6th).

•Winer led the floor lineup with a 9.850 to tie for third place with UNC's Lily Dean. Hislop took the floor title with an impressive 9.950, followed by Robinson's 9.900. Diggan tied for fifth place with a 9.825, which matched the Tar Heels' Madison Hargrave. O'Leary produced a 9.800 (seventh) and Mulligan tallied a 9.775 (eighth).
Fourth Rotation - Balance Beam (48.325)
•The most tightly contested event of the night was beam, where the winning trio of Mulligan, Lui and DeCicco was followed by Freehling (9.800, fourth) and Hislop (9.775, fifth).
