Gymnastics duo feted for combined athletics/academics performance
GREENLAND, Ind. – Senior Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) and sophomore Mady Harvey (Freeland, Mich.) of the UNH gymnastics team were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District Women's At-Large Team, it was announced Tuesday.
Mullin, the EAGL co-Senior Gymnast of the Year, graduated in May with a 3.87 grade point average to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management and Leadership. The back-to-back Wildcat team MVP adds to her impressive academic portfolio that includes being a four-time EAGL All-Scholastic Team member, two-time inductee in Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, and later this summer she will earn her fourth straight berth on the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America Team.
Mullin, a national nominee for the 2026 AAI Award in recognition of athletic performance, academics, leadership and character, competed in the all-around at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional Championship in April after being named All-EAGL First Team on uneven bars, floor exercise and all-around. She added All-EAGL Second Team on vault and balance beam to cap her career with 11 All-EAGL accolades. The Hamden, Conn., native earned EAGL All-Tournament First Team honors in all-around and Second Team on vault and bars. She was also a finalist for the Jim Urquhart Outstanding Student-Athlete Award, UNH's most prestigious student-athlete honor for all-around excellence.
Harvey, a kinesiology: exercise science major with a 3.89 cumulative GPA, competed at NCAA Regionals in Baton Rouge as a balance beam specialist after winning the beam title at the EAGL Championship (9.875, March 21), becoming UNH's first outright champion on that apparatus since Kayla Gray in 2013. Harvey, who was also EAGL's regular-season beam champion, is a two-time EAGL All-Scholastic Team member and will garner WCGA All-Scholastic All-America honors for the second consecutive season later this summer. The Freeland, Mich., native was the co-recipient of the Katie Baldwin Academic Achievement Award —shared with junior Poulina Minaev (Smithtown, N.Y.)— for boasting the team's highest GPA. Harvey garnered All-EAGL Second Team on vault and EAGL All-Tournament First Team on beam.
Mullin and Harvey are joined on the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team by fellow UNH student-athletes Nicole Poulakis (Ajax, Ontario) of field hockey and skiers Hattie Barker (Underhill, Vt.), Benedetta Caloro (Rome, Italy) and Hedda Martelleur (Uppsala, Sweden).
