Wildcats Take Second in Dartmouth Quad-Meet

Sophomore Lauren Quann takes third in pentathlon.
HANOVER, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's track and field team took second place in the annual Dartmouth meet this Saturday, December 8 with four total events being won by Wildcats.
The start of the day saw the women's pentathlon; sophomore Lauren Quann (Pictou, Nova Scotia) took third in the final score with a score of 3102, her first pentathlon result as a Wildcat. Quann was runner up in the pentathlon high jump with a height of 5 feet, 3.75 inches.
Junior transfer Bosibori Monsongo (Indianapolis, Ind.) finished seventh in the pentathlon scoring with 2944 points. Mosongo took first in the pentathlon long jump with a distance of 17'1.5", and third in the shot put with 33'4", followed by Quann with 31'7.5".
The Wildcats had a pair of individual winners in two middle distance events; senior Danielle Gajewski (Danville, N.H.) in the 800m run, with a finishing time of 2 minutes, 14.58 seconds and fellow senior Shannon Murdock (Exeter, N.H.) took first in the 1000m run in 2:52.14, setting a new personal best.
In the high jump, newcomer Saige TuDisco (Haverhill, Mass.) took first in the 60m hurdles a time of 9.18 seconds, just .02 off her personal best last weekend at Maine. She was followed by sophomore Maria Virga (Derry, N.H.) in second with a 9.24 second finish.
The Wildcats also won the 4x800 relay in 9:42.83. The team consisted of senior Shannon Stang (Medford, N.J.), freshman Nicole Yeomans (Foxborough, Mass.), and juniors Michaella Conery (Concord, N.H.) and Madeleine Brandon (Killingworth, Conn.).
New Hampshire took second in the team score with a total team score of 157 points. Dartmouth took first in the meet with 170.
