Pierson posted one goal and one assist in the win versus Vermont
DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire freshman forward Jackson Pierson (Zionsville, Ind.) has been named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week for his performance in the 3-2 overtime win versus Vermont in the home opener at the Whittemore Center on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:00 p.m. when they take on No. 11 UMass at the Whittemore Center. You can buy tickets by calling the Whittemore Center Box Office at (603) 862-4000 or by visiting UNHWildcats.com.
Pierson posted one goal and one assist for two points as UNH won its first Hockey East game of the season. With the Wildcats trailing 2-0 in the third period, Pierson scored UNH's first goal, then he tallied an assist on the overtime winner. He has two goals and two assists for four points this season.
