The No. 21/19 UNH football team enters Saturday's game at the College of William & Mary with a 5-3 overall record that includes 3-2 in the CAA and 1-3 away from home.
The Wildcats are coming off a 21-0 loss at top-ranked James Madison last Saturday in the Dukes' Homecoming at Bridgeforth Stadium.
William & Mary lost its fifth consecutive game with last weekend's 23-6 setback at Maine. The Tribe is 2-6 overall with an 0-5 mark in the CAA.
New Hampshire has a 5-15 lifetime record, including 1-10 on the road, against William & Mary. These teams have met annually since 2008.
In the coach Mac era (1999-current), UNH is 0-7 at Zable Stadium.
This is the second time in program history the Wildcats travel to Virginia in consecutive weeks to play James Madison and William & Mary. It also happened in 1996, when the 'Cats defeated JMU, 39-22, on Sept. 28 and lost to W&M, 31-7, on Oct. 5.
Junior wide receiver Neil O'Connor has 63 catches for 936 yards and nine receiving touchdowns; those are averages of 14.9 yards/catch and 117.0 yards/game. He accounts for 37% of UNH's receptions, 43% of the receiving yards and 47% of the receiving TDs.
Sophomore linebacker Quinlen Dean recorded double-digit tackles for the third time the last four games with 10 stops at JMU last week. He has made 71 stops this season and his 50 solo tackles are more than all other Wildcats have total tackles.
Granite State native and senior defensive tackle Rick Holt ranks third on the team in tackles with 44 (29-15-44) following his game- and career-high 10 tackles at James Madison. He leads the 'Cats with seven tackles-for-loss.
UNH is No. 20 in passing offense (269.0 yards/game), while the defense is 13th in 3rd down conversion (31.7%),18th in interceptions (11) and 20th in red zone defense.
W&M's defense is ranked No. 12 in the nation in fewest first downs allowed (125), No. 9 in sacks (3.25) and No. 18 in total defense (310 yards/game). The Tribe is also the sixth-least penalized team in the FCS at 37.0 penalty yards/game.
