Purrier of Women’s Track Sets Her Sixth School Record at the Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Sophomore Elinor Purrier (Montgomery, Vt.) of the University of New Hampshire women's track & field team set a new school record in the seeded 800-meter run at the Colonial Relays on the College of William & Mary campus Friday afternoon.

UNH has two relay teams competing tomorrow afternoon at the Colonial Relays while most of the team head to the University of Maine for a tri-meet with Bates College.

- Purrier claimed her sixth school record with the first place finish, besting the previous record by 2.18 seconds.
- Purrier entered the meet following a third-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championship in the mile (4:38.42) for All-American status.
- Donegan set a new personal record to begin the outdoor season with a 6.75-second improvement from her previous best.
- Gajewski recorded her top-10 finish out of 39 competitors. She bested her previous time by 1.86 seconds.
- Murdock ran her first 1,500-meter event as a Wildcat.
