Men's T&F Places Fourth As The 4x800 Relay Breaks Records At New Englands

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The 4x800 relay set a school and meet record as the University of New Hampshire men's track and field team placed fourth overall at the New England Outdoor Championship at the Henry G. Steinbrenner Stadium on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus.
Greene also went home with silver in the 1,500-meter race, setting a personal best time of 3:46.30. Senior John Prizzi (Wyckoff, N.J.) finished eighth overall in the same race breaking the tape in 3:50.92, another personal best for the 'Cats.
The 400-meter dash finals were underway on the final day of competition. Senior Isaiah Penn (Boston) secured the bronze medal with a 48.27 finish after being the top qualifier on day two of New Englands.
Along with the top finish in the 4x800 relay team, Souza also ran the 800-meter race, breaking the tape in 1:51.84 to take sixth place overall.
Junior Thomas Lynch (Pelham, N.H.) participated in shot put, tossing it a distance of 14.07-meters for 17th overall.
Rookie Keelan McCoole (Bedford, N.H.) tied for 16th overall in the high jump with a height of 1.94-meters.
The 4x100 team finished 13th overall with a time of 43.55 while the 4x400 relay squad broke the tape in 3:26.37 for 22nd place.
