McFadden leads Men's T&F with Three First Place Finishes At The Wildcat Invitational

DURHAM, N.H. – Junior sprinter D'mahl McFadden (Penacook, N.H.) tallied first place in the 200M dash, 110M hurdles and was apart of the winning 4X100M relay as the University of New Hampshire men's track and field team took eight first place finishes in the Wildcat Invitational at the Reggie Atkins Track and Field Facility on Saturday afternoon.
The 4X100 relay tallied a 43.20 second finish to earn first place. Isaiah Penn (Boston), Christopher DeCarlo (Derry, N.H.) and Dylan Pelletier (Orford, N.H.) joined McFadden for the top time. McFadden recorded a 22.19 time in the 200M dash and a 14.71 finish in the 110M hurdles.
Senior John Prizzi (Wyckoff, N.J.) grabbed first place in the 1500M run, breaking the tape in 4:04.95. Classmate Jeffrey Moretti (Guildford, Conn.) collected fourth, finishing in 4:11.78.
UNH grabbed three of the top five spots in the 400M dash. Penn finished first, 50.60 seconds, while teammate Drew Piazza (Danvers, Mass.) finished in second with a time of 50.68. John Cox (Rome, Ga.) recorded a 51.73 time, good enough for fourth place.
The Wildcats finished second and third during the 4x400M relay as Penn, Christopher Poggi (Derry, N.H.), Joseph Poggi (Derry, N.H.) and DeCarlo finished with a time of 3:27.37 to take second place.
In field events, freshman Nicholas Ritzo (Portsmouth, N.H.) was awarded the top spot in shot put, reaching a distance of 14.25M on the throw. Ritzo also threw for 42.86M in the javelin event, for seventh place.
During hammer throw, senior Jake Renaud (Lancaster, N.H.) threw for a distance of 56.25M on his last attempt to take first place. Rookie Cullen Aubin (Providence, R.I.) took third with a 47.00M throw on the afternoon.
Pole vault had another Wildcat take first place, with junior Bryan Morris (Rumson, N.J.) leaping to a 4.26M height.
