MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD FINISHES FOURTH AT NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

DEDHAM, Mass. - Senior
Brice Paey (Milton, N.H.) submitted a second-place
finish to lead the University of New Hampshire men's outdoor track
& field team to a fourth-place finish at the 39-squad New
England Championships on Saturday at the University of
Northeastern's Solomon Track.
The Wildcats amassed 47 points to finish behind the University of
Rhode Island (95.33), the University of Massachusetts-Lowell (90)
and Boston College (50.33).
Paey finished second in the shot put with a throw of 16.77m.
Sophomore Max Hoddwells (Wayne, Maine) placed
third in the triple jump with a leap of 14.01m.
Freshman Matthew Guarente (Saugus, Mass.)
finished fourth in the high jump as he cleared a height of
2.00m.
Junior Alex Macleod (East Longmeadow, Mass.) was
sixth in the 400-meter hurdles final in a time of 54.83.
Sophomore Sean Mitchell (Shrewsbury, Mass.)
placed seventh in the 800m in a time of 1:53.67.
The Wildcats return to action May 14-16 at the IC4A Championships
at Princeton University.
