David Fessenden backstopped the UNH men's hockey team to a pair of victories last week and was honored as the Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week on Monday (Jan. 9). The senior goalie made 58 saves and only allowed one goal for a .983 save percentage and a 0.50 goals against average.

David made 35 saves in a 2-0 win at 11th-ranked Providence College (Jan. 6) to record his first shutout as a Wildcat and second of his collegiate career. His 18 saves during the third period are the most he has posted in a period as a Wildcat.

Then on Sunday, Jan. 8, David made 23 saves and allowed one goal against Sacred Heart University to backbone the Wildcats to a 4-1 victory.

After two road games versus No. 17 UMass (Jan. 15) and No. 16 UMass Lowell (Jan. 20), the Wildcats return to the Whitt versus the River Hawks on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. for Community Night presented by Kennebunk Savings Bank which will feature Stick it to Stigma and Family Hockey Day.
