Wildcats defeat Siena, 209-84, and Merrimack, 236-56, to improve to 4-0
LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — It was a Saturday filled with record-setting performances and a pair of victories for the now 4-0 UNH women's swimming and diving team, which continued its undefeated season with a 209-84 victory over host Siena and a 236-56 win against Merrimack at the Siena Swim Center.
Senior captain Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.) and junior Emily Loren Wright (Ventura, Calif.) each set three pool records, and they set the tone early. The duo teamed with senior Caitlin Mason (Charleston, S.C.) and junior captain Grace Mahon (Orange, Calif.) for a pool-record 200-yard medley relay time of 1 minute, 47.81 seconds.

Mahoney also established pool records in the 100-yard freestyle (52.26) and the 50-yard freestyle (23.81), the latter coming as the lead-off leg in the Wildcats' second-place 200-yard freestyle relay team. Her 50-free mark broke her own pool record set in 2023, while her 100-free time surpassed the previous record held by former Wildcat Shelli Reed '13 since 2009.
Wright also etched her name into the Siena Swim Center record books, winning the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.91 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:21.49. Her 200-breast performance broke the previous pool record set by Jamy Lum '23 in 2021.
Mahon added to the record haul with a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking in at 56.10.
"Today we had some solid performances, especially given that we are in a relatively heavy training period, so overall it was a good day for us," head coach Josh Willman said. "We look forward to training the next few weeks and gearing up for the Harold Anderson Invitational at URI."
UNH's depth was on full display throughout the meet. Senior Trinity Devanney (Gulf Breeze, Fla.) led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 1000-yard freestyle with a winning time of 10:42.66, followed by senior captain Carolyn Nelson (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and freshman Miriam Youel (West Hartford, Conn.). Devanney also contributed to the second-place 200 free relay team.
Sophomore Marisa White (Apex, N.C.) was a triple scorer for the Wildcats, placing second in the 200 free (1:58.75), fourth in the 100 free (55.42), and winning the 500 free in 5:11.94.
Junior Izzie Campion (Auckland, New Zealand) swept the backstroke events, winning the 100 back in 59.63 and the 200 back in 2:06.92.
Two-time 2025 America East Diver of the Week Grace Blume (Dedham, Mass.) made a strong bid for a third honor by dominating the diving boards. The junior won both the 1-meter (267.65) and 3-meter (265.30) events, with junior Jess DeLorm (Vernon Hills, Ill.) finishing second in the 1-meter and third in the 3-meter.
Freshman Kelsey Mayers (Waxhaw, N.C.) also impressed, winning the 200 IM (2:10.87), placing third in the 200 fly (2:13.80), and third in the 100 fly (1:00.84).
