Patrick Kenney, a junior from Hingham, Mass., earned All-America First Team status at the 2020 NCAA Skiing Championships by racing to fourth place in the giant slalom at Bridger Bowl on March 11.
Patrick's effort garnered 31 points and helped lead the UNH ski team to a ninth-place finish at the abbreviated NCAAs; the last two days of competition, including the slalom, were canceled.
Patrick recorded the fastest time of 53.68 seconds in the second run to vault from 11th place to fourth place with an aggregate time of 1 minutes, 47.84 seconds. He completed the first run in 54.16.
It marked the second consecutive year Patrick earned All-America recognition. He was on the 2019 Second Team in the GS with a 10th-place finish.
Patrick was named to the EISA All-East Second Team at the conclusion of the EISA Championships in February. He was ranked ninth in Best-2 Overall. He was No. 3 in the Best-2 giant slalom, which included a win in the season-opening Harvard Carnival.
