Jack Dickson, a freshman from Bournemouth, England, led the UNH men’s soccer team to 3-0 victories against both Northeastern University and Yale University last week by recording a goal and an assist both games.
As a result of his six-point week, Jack was named America East Rookie of the Week on Sept. 26. It was the second consecutive week he received that accolade.
Jack set up the game’s first goal – the first goal in Wildcat Stadium, which proved to be the game-winning tally, in the 18th minute against Northeastern; he extended the advantage to 2-0 in the 51st minute.
The Wildcats returned to their traditional home pitch, Bremner Field, against Yale and Jack once again factored in the first two goals. This time, he scored the game-winning goal by giving UNH a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute, and he set up the next goal less than three minutes later.
Through nine games, Jack ranks second on the team in both goals (five) and points (12). He has scored a goal each of the last four games and in 5 of 6.
