Men's Weight Throw Paces Men's Track and Field at First Day of America East Championships

Three Wildcats finished first, second, and third in the men’s weight throw.

BOSTON — Senior thrower Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.) won the men's weight throw with a 69' 6" toss, while Liam McGovern (North Kingstown, R.I.) (67' 1.50") placed second and Caden Zalenski (Milford, N.H.) (66' 6.50") placed third, highlighting the men's indoor track and field team's first day at the America East Championships. Junior Julian Rime (New City, N.Y.) topped the podium in the 1000m, clocking in at 2:23.70.

As a team, the Wildcats finished with 47 points, sitting in second place through the first day.
