Abaka-Amuah Earns Second America East Field of the Week Nod

Abaka-Amuah broke his own school record in the men’s shot put with a 63’ 9.75” toss.
BOSTON — University of New Hampshire senior thrower Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.) was named Men's Field Athlete of the Week by America East on Tuesday (Feb. 17).
Abaka-Amuah had a career day in the Wildcats' dual meet with UMass Lowell on Wednesday (Feb. 11), winning the men's weight throw with a 66' 3.75" toss before breaking his own school record in the men's shot put, winning the event with a 63' 9.75" toss.
UNH returns to action on Feb. 20-21 as the indoor track and field team competes in the America East Championships at BU Track and Tennis Center in Boston, Mass.
