Zalenski, Moore, Ronan Named to America East Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team

Ronan takes home her second-career Indoor All-Academic Team honor while Moore and Zalenski earn their first.
BOSTON — University of New Hampshire graduate student distance runner Claire Ronan (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) and sophomore sprinter/jumper Sarah Moore (Lisbon, Maine) were each named to the 2025-26 America East Women's Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team while senior thrower Caden Zalenski (Milford, N.H.) was named to the 2025-26 America East Men's Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday (March 25).
Ronan, a kinesiology master's student with a 4.00 cumulative grade point average, earned her second-career All-Academic Team nod, previously being named to the team during the 2024-25 indoor season. Ronan closed out her graduate student season following a successful championship campaign that saw her win the America East Championship with a 2:49.90 run in the women's 1000-meter run. Overall, Ronan paced the conference in the women's 1000-meter run with a 2.48.25 time, while finishing sixth in the women's mile (4:54.35), and 16th in the women's 3000-meter run (10:04.14).
Moore, a sport management and leadership major with a 3.78 cumulative grade point average, earned her second conference end-of-season award, also being named America East Women's Indoor Performer of the Year on March 25. Moore finished her sophomore campaign with NEICAAA Championships wins in both the women's long jump (19' 9.75") and the women's 200-meter dash (24.70), breaking the school record in the latter event. Prior, Moore broke the school record and tied the America East Championship record in the women's long jump, winning the event with a 20' 4.50" distance. At the end of the season, Moore paced the conference in women's long jump with her 20' 4.50" try, while ranking seventh in the women's 200-meter dash (24.70), and 11th in both the women's triple jump (37' 8.75") and 60-meter dash (7.62).
Zalenski, a finance major with a 3.91 cumulative grade point average, earned his third-career academic honor and first All-Academic Team honor, previously being named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Zalenski closed out his senior indoor season with a NEICAAA Championship win in the men's weight throw, tossing a meet-leading 66' 0.50" throw, and a pair of top-ten finishes at America East Championships, finishing third in the men's weight throw and sixth in the men's shot put. Overall, Zalenski finished third in the conference in both the weight throw (66' 6.50") and shot put (54' 8.25") events.
UNH returns to action on March 27 as the track and field opens the outdoor season with the Black and Gold Invite at the Bryant Track & Turf Complex in Smithfield, R.I.
