COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Seniors Tasmin Cookman (London, England) and Nicole Poulakis (Ajax, Ontario) and junior Kathelijne Knuttel (Groningen, Netherlands) of the University of New Hampshire field hockey team were named to the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, powered by Performance Sports Events, on Thursday.
It is the third consecutive year Cookman has been named to the NFHCA Watchlist and the second time in as many years for Poulakis. All three UNH captains were also named to the 2025 America East Preseason All-Conference Team.
This list is intended to showcase those field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year's NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams. To be nominated for the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years and nominated by their NFHCA member coach. Student-athletes not listed on the NFHCA Watchlist may still be nominated for NFHCA All-Region and All-American recognition.
The NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams will be announced December 3, 2025, and December 16, 2025.
Cookman is a three-time All-American and two-time America East Offensive Player of the Year. She enters the season ranked No. 9 on UNH's career points leaderboard with 88 and is No. 10 in career goals with 37.
Poulakis is a two-time NFHCA All-Region Second Team and two-time All-Conference First Team honoree. She is currently 15th on UNH's all-time leaderboard in both goals (30) and points (77).
Knuttel ranked No. 6 in the nation in goals per game and No. 7 in points per game in 2024, when she recorded 18 goals and five assists for 41 points in 19 games. Those numbers tied for eighth best on UNH's single-season list for both goals and points.
New Hampshire, which was picked atop the America East Preseason Poll, opens the 2025 season Aug. 29 (3 p.m.) against 11th-ranked UConn and the Wildcats also play host to No. 9 Saint Joseph's on opening weekend – Aug. 31 (2 p.m.).
