- UNH returns to action Sept. 12 (3 p.m.) at Northeastern.
- The Wildcats' next home game is Sept. 21 (1 p.m.) against intrastate rival Dartmouth College for Alumni Day.

- UNH pressured early and a loose ball was lifted toward goal from the middle of the circle by Nicole Poulakis (Ajax, Ontario), but Sjouken made the save.
- That resulted in a penalty corner, however, and the direct shot from the top of the circle by Marlijn Swaan (Hilversum, Netherlands) was stopped by Sjouken. Another corner was awarded immediately, and this time Swaan's shot from the top of the circle went through traffic and wide of the right post.
- The RedHawks withstood that pressure and scored on their first shot of the game when Ventos advanced past defenders from the right wing to the front of the cage, where she slipped a shot in for a 1-0 lead at 5:52.

- Miami extended the lead to 2-0 on a quick counterattack 30 seconds into the second quarter on Intzes' goal that was set up by Wearren's centering pass from the right side.
- UNH was awarded a penalty corner at 26:34, which resulted in a direct shot by Faye Meijer (Purmerend, Netherlands) that was blocked by a defender.

- In the opening minute of the second half, Mata Berta attacked along the left end line, but Johnson charged out from the post to make a sliding save.
- In the 38th minute, Intzes fired a direct shot off a penalty corner that Johnson kicked away with her right leg pad.
- UNH earned another penalty corner in the last minute of the third quarter. Instead of taking a direct shot, Kathelijne Knuttel (Groningen, Netherlands) executed a back pass to Meijer, whose shot was blocked.

- The RedHawks took a 3-0 lead at 47:53 when they converted a corner into a goal – Wearren's direct shot deflected off a UNH defender into the cage.
- Ventos' second goal of the game pushed the margin to 4-0 at 54:04.
- UNH capitalized on its sixth corner of the game to trim the deficit to 4-1 at 54:42. Fromm the top-right, Knuttel sent a diagonal pass that Layton ran onto and she blasted a shot into the cage.
- The Wildcats continued to press and Poulakis' shot ricocheted off the post at 57:28.
- Moments later Tasmin Cookman (London, England) was denied by Sjouken but the 'Cats were awarded a corner. Meijer's shot beat Sjouken, but Coughlin was on the goal line to prevent the goal.
- She achieved that illegally, however, and UNH was given a penalty stroke but did not convert to keep the score 4-1 at 58:19.
- Poulakis was turned aside by Sjouken twice in the closing 15 seconds.

- Knuttel has a team-high three assists.
- Layton became the third Wildcat to score a goal this season.

- Miami finished with the edge in shots (21-14) and shots on goal (9-7), while penalty corners were even at seven.
