Sarah Moore Finishes Stellar Rookie Season at NCAA East First Round

Moore placed 28th in the long jump

RESULTS

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Freshman Sarah Moore (Worcester, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women's track and field team concluded her 2024-25 season at the NCAA East First Round at Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida on Thursday afternoon.

Moore placed 28th in the long jump out of 48 athletes with a leap of 19' 6".

The top 12 athletes from each event advance to the Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., on June 11-14.

Moore had an outstanding rookie season as she set the school record at UMass Lowell with a jump of 20' 7.75". Moore won the gold medal in the long jump at the America East Championships and at the New England Championships. She also placed first at the Jim Boulanger Invitational.

Freshman distance runner Ruth White (Orono, Maine) will take on the competition in the 10,000 meter run at 9:10 PM on ESPN+.
