UNH Swimming and Diving's Blume, Mayers Win America East Weekly Awards

Blume swept diving events; Mayers was member of 200-yard medley winning team
BOSTON - The UNH women's swimming and diving team earned two weekly conference awards, junior Grace Blume (Dedham, Mass.) was named the America East Diver of the Week for the third time this year and freshman Kelsey Mayers (Waxhaw, N.C) won the America East Rookie of the Week award.
In the 156-144 Wildcats' loss at Northeastern (Dec. 6), Blume swept the diving events by scoring 265.43 points in the 3-meter and 266.63 in the 1-meter.
Mayers was one of the four swimmers in the winning 200-yard medley relay, and she touched second in the 200 back (2:07.72) and fourth in the 100 back. This marks her first career AE weekly award.
