'Cats Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honor with Program-Best GPA

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team achieved Scholar All-America Team status for the Spring 2024 semester as announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.

The Wildcats recorded a program-best 3.78 team GPA this past spring to break their previous best GPA of 3.71 established this past fall. To qualify for this CSCAA accolade, a team has to record a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2024 semester.

The Wildcats tied for the ninth-highest team GPA in Division I (approximately 200 teams) and had the best GPA of any UNH athletic team.

The 'Cats earned several academic honors in the 2023-24 season. Junior Megumi Komoto (Schaumburg, Ill.) received the America East Elite 18 Award for having the highest GPA of any student-athlete who competed at the America East Championships.

Komoto was joined on the America East All-Academic Team by Abby McKinney (Westfield, N.J.), Chiara Maria Pradissitto (Milan, Italy), Ella Guilfoil (Fairport, N.Y.) and Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.).

Komoto, McKinney, Pradissitto and Mahoney – were also selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Swimming and Diving Team.
