Wildcats Close Out Day One of America East Outdoor Championships

BALTIMORE, Md. – The University of New Hampshire men's track and field team traveled to UMBC to compete in day one of the America East Outdoor Championships on Saturday.

Senior Andrew Fleming (Acton, Mass.) and sophomore Liam McGovern (North Kingstown, R.I.) combined for 18 points in the men's hammer throw coming in at first and second.

Sophomore Caden Zalenski (Milford, N.H.) took fourth in the men's hammer throw, securing five points for the Wildcats.

Sophomore Jack Washam (Nashua, N.H.) secured 7th place in the hammer throw with a PR throw of 50.70m, tallying two points for the 'Cats.

Sophomore Kyran Maher (Andover, Mass.) placed third in the pole vault, clearing 4.25m and recording 5.5 points.

Freshman Gunnar Sokol (Berwick, Maine) took fourth in the long jump with 6.96m. He secured five points for the 'Cats.

Sophomore Jayson Blaisdell (Barrington, N.H.) secured fifth place in the javelin throw, tallying 4 points.

Sophomore Joshua Lesniak finished 8th in the steeplechase with a PR time of 9:30.61.
