UNH Hammer Throw Squad Ranks 13th in the Nation

DURHAM, N.H. - On Tuesday, April 30 the USTFCCCA revealed the Week 6 national rankings in which the University of New Hampshire men's hammer team is ranked 13th in the nation.
The rankings are determined based on the average of the top four performers in an event from each team. This four-man Wildcat squad consisting of sophomore Liam McGovern (North Kingstown, R.I.), senior Andrew Fleming (Acton, Mass.), sophomore Caden Zalenski (Milford N.H.), and junior Max Rome (North Kingstown, R.I.) is currently throwing for an average distance of 58.66 meters.
"I'm very proud of what our hammer throwers have been able to achieve this year," Cullen Aubin, Assistant Coach responsible for men's and women's throwers, said. "We are in a great spot going into our championship season."
The 'Cats will be heading to Baltimore, Md. to compete in the America East Outdoor Championships, hosted by UMBC from May 4-5. UNH will be going into the meet seeded at 1, 3 and 4 in the men's hammer throw.
