'Cats Begin Outdoor Season Strong

LOWELL, Mass. – The UNH women's track and field team opened the outdoor season competing in the Raleigh Relays hosted by N.C. State from March 28-30 and the River Hawk Invitational hosted by UMass Lowell on March 30.

Raleigh Relays Event Notebook

Junior Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.) and Senior Lily Doody (Lee, N.H.) competed in the women's 1500m run, finishing with times of 4:32.15 and 4:36.91 respectively.

River Hawk Invitational Event Notebook

Sophomore Makena Lee (Northwood, N.H.) placed first in the women's pole vault, clearing a distance of 3.50m.
Freshman Audrey Thornton was second place in the women's long jump with a PR distance of 5.64m.
Freshman Briana Danis (Hooksett, N.H.) finished second in the women's hammer throw with a PR distance of 41.91m.
Freshman Ronnie Jones (Lowell, Mass.) placed first in the women's shot put, throwing for a distance of 12.51m.
The women's 4x400m relay team consisting of freshman Jules Hickey (Pawling, N.Y.), sophomore Liliana Chirichella (Troy, N.H.), senior Natalie Fraser (Gilford, N.H.), and Kailey Dillon (Merrimack, N.H.) placed second, recording a time of 4:09.88.

The 'Cats will return to action on Saturday, April. 6 for the first home meet of the outdoor season, the first annual Jim Boulanger Invitational!
