Wildcats Finish Fifth in New England Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The UNH men's track and field team concluded the final day of the New England Championships, finishing in fifth place with 45.60 points.
Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.) took home the gold in the men's shot put, throwing for a distance of 17.09 meters.

- Sophomore Caden Zalenski (Milford, N.H.) finished eighth in the men's shot put, throwing for 15.26m
- Senior Andrew Kelly (Portsmouth, N.H.) jumped for 13.62m in the men's triple jump, finishing in seventh.
- Kelly also placed third in the men's high jump, clearing 1.96m. Freshman Avery Cipcic (Suffield, Conn.) placed seventh in the high jump jumping 1.91m
- Junior Peyton Ramsey (Plainville, Conn.) finished third in the men's 5000m clocking in at 15:04.74.
- Sophomore Nathan Fletcher (Portsmouth, N.H.) placed third in the men's 500m dash, running a 1:04.89 and recording a new PR.
- Sophomore Zachary Hooper (Concord, N.H.) recorded a PR and finished eighth in the men's 3000m run, with a time of 8:34.34.
- The men's 4x800 relay team consisting of Fletcher, freshmen Matthew Allen (East Kingston, N.H.), junior Brayden Kearns (Deerfield, N.H.), and Zack Plaza (Auburn, N.H.) finished in fourth with a time of 7:56.07.
