'Cats Finish Top Three in Day One of America East Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The UNH men's track and field team competed in day one of the America East Indoor Championships. The 'Cats are currently in second place with 36 points.

The UNH men's 4000-distance medley relay team took home the gold. Junior Aidan Shea(Amherst, Mass.), Senior Adrian Sutton (Rochester, N.H.), Junior Kevin Finn (Kennebunk, Maine.), and Graduate student Aidan O'Hern (Concord, N.H.) ran for a total time of 9:47.36

Event Notebook.

Kyran Maher (Andover, Mass.) recorded a PR in the men's pole vault with a height of 4.50m placing third overall.
Sophomore Liam McGovern (North Kingstown R.I) threw for third and recorded a new PR in the men's weight throw with a distance of 18.55m
Sophomore Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.) threw for 17.83m in the men's weight throw, placing fourth.
Junior Max Rome (North Kingstown, R.I.) threw for 16.72m in the men's weight throw, placing eighth.
Freshman Gunnar Sokol (Berwick, Maine) placed fourth in the men's long jump with a distance of 6.91m
