Blair Stops 26 of 27 Shots in 2-0 Loss to Northeastern

DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore goaltender Sedona Blair (Eden Prairie, Minn.) of the University of New Hampshire women's hockey team made 26 saves in a 2-0 loss Wednesday night against Northeastern University at the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex.
Blair recorded 10 saves in the first period, seven in the second and nine in the third while yielding one goal; NU's second goal was an empty-netter with 54.3 seconds remaining. She made six of those stops on UNH's penalty kill to keep the Huskies scoreless on four power plays.
Northeastern goalie Lisa Jönsson recorded 17 saves while Eloise Caron led the offense with a goal and an assist.
UNH is now 10-7-1 overall and 6-6-0 in Hockey East while NU improved to 10-6-1, 8-4-1.

- Northeastern's Morgan Jackson came closest to ending the scoreless first period when she fired a shot that rang off the pipe, narrowly missing the back of the net, at 15:58.

- The visitors had a 7-6 shot advantage in the scoreless second stanza to make the cumulative shot totals 17-13 in favor of NU.
- Blair kept the game scoreless as Northeastern's Holly Abela and Éloïse Caron generated a 2-on-1 scoring chance in the 14th minute.

- At 8:03, grad student Sara Boucher (Burlington, Ontario) fired a one-timer from the slot that ricocheted off the pipe to keep the game scoreless.
- Northeastern took the 1-0 lead on a goal by Caron, assisted by Morgan Jackson and Lily Shannon, from the top of the crease at 15:58.
- UNH pulled Blair in favor of an extra skater with 1:46 remaining.
