BOSTON — The University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey fell late to #7/6 Northeastern University (2-1-0, 2-0-0 HEA) on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 11) at Walter Brown Arena, dropping a 6-3 decision.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-New Hampshire struck first midway through the opening period, when Danika Botterill (Portage La Prairie, Manitoba) forced a turnover in the Northeastern zone, feeding the puck to Nina Rossi (Pittsgrove, N.J.), who skated on net before giving it back to Botterill for a one-time score.

-The Huskies tied things up 4:27 later on a bar-down strike from Morgan Jackson.

-Northeastern found their first lead of the game 6:22 into the second period, before striking again 1:26 later to make it a 3-1 contest.

-UNH got one back early in the third period, when Botterill tipped a piece of a Sadie Makokis (St. Albert, Alberta) try on net, beating the defense for her second of the afternoon.

-Danika Botterill netted her third goal of the afternoon just 2:08 later, when Rossi found her in the left-faceoff circle, where the senior forward launched a one-timer past Northeastern's Renna Trembecky to knot it up at 3-3.

-Northeastern retook the lead 10:59 into the third on an own goal from UNH.

-The Huskies tallied two more at 15:09 and 16:40 to bring about the final 6-3 score.
