PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The University of New Hampshire women's track and field team competed at the Friar Invitational on Friday night at Ray Treacy Track at Hendricken Field.
Zakiya Scott (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Natalie Fraser (Gilford, N.H.) placed seventh and 12th respectively in the 400-meter run with times of 58.58 and 1:00.98.
Cailey Archer (Berthoud, Colo.) was the top Wildcat finisher in the 800-meter run with time of 2:13.76, which was the fifth best time of the day. Lily Doody's (Lee, N.H.) time of 2:19.99, which marked a 10th place finish. Cayla Barretto (Woburn, Mass.) also added a mark of 2:24.52 for the 17th place finish.
Hannah Langstaff (Windham, Maine) and Emma York (Penacook, N.H.) posted times of 5:12.63 and 5:14.42 in the mile run, which placed 20th and 22nd in the event.
Nicole Yeomans (Foxborough, Mass.), Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.) and Kira Nolan (Richmond, Vt.) posted times of 9:39.78 (5th), 9:47.60 (8th) and 9:56.63 (11th) in the 3000-meter run for the Wildcats to cap off the day's events.
The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, April 9 on Senior Day for the Wildcat Invitational. Meet time from the Reggie Atkins Track & Field Facility is 11 a.m. on AmericaEast.tv. UNH's senior class will be honored in a pre-meet ceremony.
