Sarah Williams earns bronze medal in weight throw at ECAC Championships on Saturday

'Cats post school record in preliminaries of 4x800 relay with time of 8:54.87
BOSTON - Junior thrower Sarah Williams (Dover, N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire women's track and field team earned a bronze medal in the weight throw on Saturday afternoon on the opening day of the ECAC Indoor Championships at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
Williams placed third at the event with a throw of 60'7 for the Wildcats continuing her dominance in the throwing circle in her third season in Durham.
The Wildcats 4x800 relay team comprised of Nicole Yeomans (Foxbourough, Mass.), Hannah Langstaff (Windham, Maine), Cailey Archer (Berthoud, Colo.) and Elizabeth Martell (Essex Junction, Vt.) posted a new school record with time of 8:54.87 to comfortably qualify for the finals on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
UNH returns to action in the final day of competition at the ECAC Championships on Sunday, March 6. Meet time from the BU Track & Tennis Center is 9:30 a.m.Â
