Field Hockey Introduces Seven New Wildcats

DURHAM, N.H. – Robin Balducci, winningest head coach in University of New Hampshire field hockey program history, announced Tuesday that seven recruits have signed a National Letter of Intent to become UNH Wildcats in Fall 2023.
"We're obviously excited about this class coming in," Balducci said. "I think 2022 brought us an exciting year with some good, young players, and we're really excited about adding this group to this squad and all of the strengths that exist.
"We've got in this group a number of high-quality, goal scoring, program-impacting players," she added. "We've got players that are more local and players that come from perennial power houses in other areas of the country.
"The level that this group brings to us is really exciting, in moving the program another step forward from this year's success."
Armlin started every game at center mid for York High School and finished her career with 25 goals and 58 assists, and the 5-foot-4 midfielder/back led the Wildcats to a 30-1 record in a two-year span. She was named a Player to Watch in NH/Maine and All-Western Maine First Team honoree in 2021.
Armlin has played for the Top Elite Team at Seacoast United for six years, including the Seacoast U19 Gold team. She was an All-Star selection at the New England College Classic and at a Nike Camp, and was also a Nexus National Championship selection.
Armlin is also a letterwinner on York's ice hockey and lacrosse teams and received all-conference honorable mention recognition in lax.
Dempsey is a standout forward at Wells High School who also plays for the Seacoast United club team. She entered her senior season with 28 goals and 29 assists and was an All-Western Maine Conference honoree in 2021.
Graves is a senior at Masconomet Regional High School (Boxford, Mass.), where she was named both an NEC All-Star and Salem Evening News All-Star three times. She was a Best of 60 Team honoree as a senior captain and her other accolades with the Chieftans included Cape Ann League All-Star Second Team. The 5-foot-1 midfielder also plays for the Seacoast United club team and been an AAU Jr. Olympic selection.
Johnson, a 5-3 back, was a four-year starter on the Oxford Area High School field hockey team and captained the squad this past fall as a senior. Prior to high school, she was captain and team MVP in both seventh and eighth grades.
In 2021, Johnson was a Disney Showcase selection and part of the U19 Flight A championship team.
Johnson began competing at National Futures in 2014 at the U10 national indoor tournament and has been part of four championship teams: 2016 (U12), 2018 (U14), 2021 (U19) and 2022 (U19). She was also on the U16 Thanksgiving Shooting Stars championship team in 2019.
Johnson is also a member of the Oxford Area lacrosse team and was a starter last year as a junior.
MacNeil was named Max Field Hockey New Hampshire Player of the Year in 2021 and 2022 as well as Seacoast Sports Awards Player of the Year in 2022. The 5-6 midfielder was a two-time team MVP at Exeter High School. She has played for both the NorthEast Elite and Seacoast U19 Gold club teams and is also a letterwinner on the ice hockey team at Exeter.
Petiet is a senior at Haarlemmermeer Lyceum who plays club hockey for MHC de Kikkers. The 5-6 midfielder led MHC de Kikkers to the Super B league, which is the second best league in the Netherlands, for the first time in club history in 2020.
She played for the championship team in 2012-13 and 2018-19 and was honored as the best hockey player at Bovelander Field Hockey.
Warms, a 5-5 midfielder at the Latin School of Chicago, was named to the All-State Second Team and the Independent School League Player of the Year, as well as ISL All-Conference Team, in 2022. She led the team to three consecutive ISL championships from 2020-22, the first of which was the first title in 20 years.
The 5-5 midfielder was also an ISL All-Conference Team honoree in 2020 and 2021 and named team MVP as a sophomore, junior and senior. Warms received the team Sportsmanship Award as a freshman, when she recorded nine goals and eight assists in 22 games.
Warms plays for the Windy City U19 Fire club team, which was ranked No. 6 nationally in both 2021 and 2022. She was also chosen for the Nexux Regional Selection Event.
Warms has also been on the varsity soccer team since her freshman year and is on the ski team at The Latin School of Chicago.
New Hampshire finished the 2022 season with 10 wins and a trip to the America East semifinals. The Wildcats boast the 2022 America East Rookie of the Year who was also the only freshman named to the All-Conference First Team and was joined on the All-Rookie Team by two other 'Cats.
