RICHMOND, Va. – The University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team has been named a Scholar All-America Team for spring 2021 by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
UNH, which won a second consecutive America East championship and conference-best ninth title overall in 2021, earned the accolade by recording a team grade point average of 3.48 in the Spring 2021 semester.
"Winning our ninth championship title and earning our second highest ever team GPA while facing so many challenges this year made for a memorable season," UNH head coach Josh Willman said. "I'm proud of our team and our great coaching staff and thankful to our academic support and training staffs for helping us along the way to be able to achieve great things this past year."
Teams are required to post a team GPA of 3.0 or higher in the spring semester to earn distinction as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team.
"Coach Willman consistently produces winners in the pool and classroom and this year is no exception," CSCAA executive director Greg Earhart stated in a release. "These are some of the best ambassadors of New Hampshire."
The CSCAA will name its individual Scholar All-America Team next week.
