'Cats Achieve 195.300 for Second Straight Meet

Event wins for Lui (BB), Kelley (FX) lead Wildcats to second in LIU tri-meet
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Junior Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) scored a 9.875 to take first place on balance beam, and sophomore Robyn Kelley (Wakefield, Mass.) won the floor exercise with a 9.875 to lead the UNH gymnastics team to a 195.300 and second-place finish in Friday night's LIU tri-meet at the Pratt Recreation Center.
Towson scored a 196.150 for the victory, and host Long Island placed third with a 190.450. These three schools will join Pitt for a quad meet Sunday, Feb. 28 (4 p.m.) right back at Pratt Recreation Center.

•The Wildcats host their Senior Night meet against North Carolina State at Lundholm Gym on Saturday, March 6 (7 p.m.).
HOW IT HAPPENED
ROTATION 1 (FLOOR EXERCISE – 48.775)
•Kelley's floor win was supported by a third-place 9.800 from senior co-captain Clare Hampford (Trumbull, Conn.), who equaled her season high. Lui's 9.775 earned a share of sixth place.
ROTATION 2 (VAULT – 48.550)
•Sophomore Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) headlined UNH's vault lineup with a 9.825 for fifth place. Kelley scored a 9.750 (seventh), and freshman Jenna DeVincenzo (Bethpage, N.Y.) hit for a 9.700 (T-9th) less than 10 miles from her hometown.
ROTATION 3 – (UNEVEN BARS – 49.100)
•Gorgenyi equaled her personal best (9.875, T-3rd) on bars for the second straight meet to lead the Wildcats' highest team score (49.100) of the night. Senior co-captain Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) recorded a season-high 9.850 (T-5th), followed by Hampford and senior Kylie Kratchwell (Sewell, N.J.), each of whom tied for seventh place (9.800). Lui chipped in with a season-high 9.775 (T-9th).
•The Wildcats closed the meet on an up note with Lui topping the podium on beam and Kelley tying for third place (9.825). DeVincenzo scored a 9.750 (T-9th), just 0.025 shy of a personal best.
