Wildcats pick up 187-103 victory at Siena on Saturday

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -- The University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team recorded a 187-103 victory at Siena on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the SIena Swim Center.
UNH improves to 3-0 overall on the year, en route to sweeping all 13 scored events and setting six pool records.
Freshman Emma Clarke (Avon, N.Y.) opened the day with a win in the one-meter dive with 219.75 points for the Wildcats, followed closely by fellow 'Cats Keira Moon (Middletom, Mass.) and Ana O'Neil (St. Paul, Minn.).
UNH earned the top spot in the 200-yard medley with a mark and new pool record of 1:48.54, comprised of Megumi Komoto (Schaumburg, Ill.), Jamy Lum (Honolulu, Hawaii), Chiara Pradissitto (Milan, Italy) and Cate Wardinski (Burke, Va.).
"The team did real well today, Keira Moon posted a PR on 3M and the swimmers all had strong performances at the end of a week of solid training," said UNH head coach Josh Willman.
Senior Anna Metzler (Regensburg, Germany) took first-place and a pool record in the 1000 free at 10:17.68, while Lum posted a 1:55.87 in the 200 free for the victory.
Freshman Kiersten Donnelly (Pottstown, Pa.) secured the win in the 100 back at 1:01.18 and classmate Maddie Fritz (Lansdale, Pa.) got the victory with a time of 1:07.37 in the 100 breast.
Komoto took the top spot and pool record in the 200 fly (2:08.26) and Wardinski notched a time of 24.41 in the 50 free victory.
Moom won the three-meter dive compiling 241.87 points.
Junior Olivia Stille (Stockholm, Sweden) earned a time of 53.09 in the 100 free top spot. Metzler recorded a pool record of 2:05.62 in the 200 back for first-place, while Lum took the 200 breast (2:21.68) with a new pool record and Hannah Devine (Hamilton, N.J.) took the gold in the 500 free (5:11.16).
The Wildcats return to action on Friday, December 3 at the Bruno Invitational hosted by Brown University in Providence, R.I.
