The Wildcats ready for all-around competition against region’s top programs.
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's track & field team, coming off a home meet victory, takes on the region's top talent at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) indoor track and field championships this Friday and Saturday, January 31 and February 1, hosted by Northeastern at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center.
The Wildcats will send a full squad down to get big-meet experience ahead of the America East Indoor Championships taking place three weekends later across town at Boston University. The Wildcats send a mix of younger, growing athletes and seasoned vets to continue upping their game as championship season begins.
The Wildcats will look for sophomore Sarah Williams (Dover, N.H.) to continue her breakout sophomore season in the throws; Williams is coming off a weekend where she set a new personal best in the weight throw, hitting 54'3.75", inching closer to the school record of 57'3.5".
The pole-vaulting duo of Jordan Hoffman (North Chelmsford, Mass.) and Danielle Heine (Waverly, Pa.) also look to continue their season of improvement, with both vaulters hit 10'10" as the top two finisher in the event in last weekend's home meet victory.
Sprinters and hurdlers Crismeily Borg (Nashua, N.H.) and Saige Tudisco (Haverhill, Mass.) continue to find their success at the collegiate level, with Borg taking first overall in last week's 60-meter dash, and Tudisco took two event victories in the same meet winning the high jump and long jump.
In the distance and middle distance, New Hampshire looks to its senior leadership from fifth-year Shannon Murdock (Exeter, N.H.) and Meg Champagne (Plattsburgh, N.Y.), both of whom have opened up the season with some big event wins.

FROM THE COACH
"We're excited with the fact that, through the entry process, have a full track & field team going to New Englands. That's one of the programmatic goals that we're building towards every year, to have successful athletes in all aspects of the track and field team, so we feel that the entries this meet is a step in the right direction
