Season-High Score Propels 'Cats past Yale, 196.175-194.950

Mulligan equals school's uneven-bar record (9.950)
DURHAM, N.H. – Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) scored a 9.950 on uneven bars to match the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team's all-time program record on that apparatus, and the Wildcats scored a season-high 196.175 to defeat Yale University (194.950) in Friday's Senior Night dual meet at Lundholm Gym.
Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) set two career-highs on the night --on bars (9.800- T-5th) and on floor exercise (9.875- T-1st). The freshman also finished first on balance beam with a 9.875.
Nicole O'Leary (Newtown, Conn.) tied a personal-best on floor with a 9.875 to share first and had a first-place finish on vault with a score of 9.800.
Mulligan finished first in all-around (39.350).
The Wildcats have now posted 10 straight wins and improved their record to 16-2, including 9-0 at home.
Senior Mimi Traore (Lowell, Mass.) was the recipient of the Katie Baldwin Expression Award.

The UNH gymnastics team plays host to the EAGL Championships, presented by the Mall at Fox Run, at the Whittemore Center on Saturday, March 23, at 2 p.m.. The Wildcats welcome league rivals George Washington, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh and Towson in the battle for the league championship. HOW IT HAPPENED
Rotation 1 – Vault (48.725)
•Led by O'Leary, the Wildcats claimed the top three spots on the podium, Mulligan followed close behind to take second place (9.775), and Erin Carroll (Kingston, N.H.) tied for third with Yale's Alyssa Firth (9.750). Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass.) scored a 9.725 to finish in fifth place.
Rotation 2 – Uneven Bars (49.050)
•UNH scored a season-high 49.050 on the event to regain a 97.775-97.300 lead over Yale. Mulligan matched her personal best to sit atop the podium. Riley Freehling (Southington, Conn.) scored a 9.850 to share second with Yale's Roxanne Trachtenberg.
Rotation 3 – Balance Beam (49.150)
• The Wildcats kept the energy going with strong performances on beam. Lui secured first with a score of 9.875. Hannah Baddick (Gettysburg, Pa.) and Courtney Bondanza (Buffalo, N.Y.) shared second with a 9.850 – only 0.025 points behind Lui. Mulligan tied for fifth with three members of Yale (9.775).
Rotation 4 – Floor Exercise (49.300)
• O'Leary and Lui achieved back-to-back career-high 9.875s to share first with anchor Ava Watkins (Cherry Hill, N.J.). Mulligan scored a 9.850 to place fourth, and Freehling tied for fifth with Jade Buford of Yale (9.825).
UNH GYMNASTICS CAMPS
The UNH gymnastics program is now accepting sign-ups for its 2019 summer camps. Professional training in a safe, fun and productive environment will see young gymnasts receive the best instruction available at their level. Athletes will be exposed to various teaching techniques, progressions and philosophies from our highly qualified, professional staff.
Choose from the day camp (June 24-27), high-performance overnight camp (July 5-8) and overnight camp #2 (July 8-11). Per NCAA rules, UNH's camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants (limited by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
