'Cats Visit Towson for St. Patrick's Day 5-Team Meet (March 17, 2 p.m.)

Wildcats face three EAGL teams six days before hosting league championship
TOWSON, Md. – In its final tune-up prior to hosting the 2019 EAGL Championship (March 23, 2 p.m.), the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team visits Towson University for a five-team meet that includes three EAGL opponents Sunday, March 17, at 2 p.m. The Wildcats face off with the host Tigers, George Washington and Pittsburgh to go along with former EAGL opponent and now Big-10 school Maryland.

LAST TIME OUT - On Senior Night, Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) equaled the highest uneven-bar score in program history (9.950) to help the Wildcats set their season high with a 196.175 in a dual-meet victory over Yale (194.950) on Friday, March 8, at Lundholm Gym. Nicole O'Leary (Newtown, Conn.) topped the podium on vault (9.800) and tied a personal best on floor exercise (9.875) to share first place in that event.

•The Wildcats host the 2019 EAGL Championship, presented by The Mall at Fox Run, on Saturday, March 23 (2 p.m.) at the Whittemore Center. The Wildcats will take on league rivals George Washington, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh and Towson in their quest to win their third EAGL championship and first since capturing the title in front of their fans at the Whitt in 2014. •UNH is ranked No. 30 nationally in this week's RoadToNationals.com poll. The top 36 teams in the nation will qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships following the conclusion of the regular season next weekend.
•Mulligan continues to impress. The senior is ranked No. 1 in EAGL in all-around (39.285 National Qualifying Score), bars (9.895 NQS), and beam (9.860) and has finished in first place 25 times this season. This includes two vault victories, 10 bar victories, four wins on beam, one on floor exercise and eight all-around titles.
•Lui was named the EAGL Rookie of the Week on March 12. The freshman won two individual events and set two personal-bests in the Wildcats' 196.175-xxxx victory over Yale at Lundholm Gym (03/08). Lu started with a career-high 9.800 on bars, won beam with a 9.875 and set a PB with a first-place 9.875 on floor. Lui has won three EAGL weekly honors in her freshman season; she earned Specialist of the Week on Feb. 12 and Rookie of the Week on Feb. 19.
