Team Blue edges Team White in intrasquad exhibition

DURHAM, N.H. – Fans got their first look at the 2020 UNH gymnastics team in Saturday's Meet the Team exhibition at Lundholm Gym, which included a dramatic 12-11 Team Blue victory over Team White in an intrasquad dual meet.

Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa./vault, uneven bars, balance beam) and Mariella Miele (Basking Ridge, N.J./vault, beam, floor exercise) each earned three individual event victories for Team Blue, which was coached by head coach Lindsey Bruck Ayotte.

Team White, coached by assistant coach Amanda Fillard, received strong efforts from senior co-captain Ava Watkins (Cherry Hill, N.J.), who picked up wins on bars, beam and floor. Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass.) and Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) helped White rally with back-to-back beam wins to close out the meet, but Blue held on for the overall victory.
