Senior Day Highlighted By Season-High 195.750 in Loss to Rutgers

Mullin, Challman, Reade each post first-place results in loss to Rutgers (196.550)
DURHAM, N.H. – Junior Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) won her second uneven-bar championship of the season with a personal-best 9.850 and shared second place on balance beam with a season-high 9.875 to propel the UNH gymnastics team to Sunday's season-high 195.750 in a dual-meet loss to Rutgers (196.550) on Senior Day at the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex.
Sophomore Anne Challman (Lewisburg, Pa.) scored a career-high 9.875 on beam to tie Mullin for second, and she notched a 9.875 on floor exercise to finish as part of a four-way deadlock atop the podium that also featured freshman Aine Reade (Merrimac, Mass.).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Vault (Team Score - 49.000)
•The Wildcats (9-15, 2-2 EAGL) recorded their highest vault score of the season (49.000).
•Sophomore McCall McMullen (Athens, Ga.) matched her career high with a 9.825 to tie for second place with Rutgers' Elia Aird.
•Senior Gracy Mowers (Middleton, Mass.), junior Leah Moreno (Cary, N.C.) and sophomore Gwen Ockerbloom (Granby, Conn.) tied for fifth place by scoring a 9.800.
•The score equaled a season high for both Mowers and Moreno.
•RU's Rachael Riley topped the podium with a 9.850.
Uneven Bars (Team Score – 48.875)
•Moreno complemented Mullin's first bar victory since Jan. 26 by earning a share of second place with a season-best 9.825.
•Scarlet Knights Ginger Richards, Delaney Adrian and Avery Balser shared second with Moreno.
•Seniors Julia Before (Sutton, Vt.) and Summer Simpkins (Audubon, N.J.) each posted a season-high in their final home meet; Before tallied a 9.775 (T-7th) and Simpkins registered a 9.725 (T-9th).
Balance Beam (Team Score – 49.000)
•Challman and Mullin powered the Wildcats to their best beam score (49.000) since their season-high 49.050 on Jan. 31 at the Towson Invite.
•Freshman Mady Harvey (Freeland, Mich.) scored a 9.800 for sole possession of eighth place.
•Senior Alyssa Beaulieu (Holyoke, Mass.) totaled a season-best 9.725 in her final home meet to tie McMullen for ninth place.
•RU's Gabrielle Dildy won beam with a 9.900.
Floor Exercise (Team Score – 48.875)
•Reade collected at least a share of first on floor for a team-leading fourth time this season.
•Challman's first-place floor result was her third of the year.
•Rutgers' Adrian and Dildy also scored a 9.875 for a share of the top spot.
•Mowers capped her home career with a 9.750 (eighth), and sophomore Poulina Minaev (Smithtown, N.Y.) equaled her season high (9.725) for ninth place.
All-Around
•Adrian won the all-around with a 39.300, and Reade was the runner-up (38.800).
