Reade sets/ties three personal-bests to headline team's top road score of season (195.700)
PHILADELPHIA – Freshman Aine Reade (Merrimac, Mass.) collected three Top-3 placements featuring career-high scores, and the UNH gymnastics team registered its highest vault score and top road score of the season, but George Washington University rallied in the final rotation to score a 195.950 to edge host Temple (195.775), the Wildcats (195.700) and Towson (195.675) to win the 2025 EAGL Championship in a thrilling finish at The Lacourias Center. LIU finished in fifth place with a 194.400.
Reade tied for runner-up on vault (PB-tying 9.850), took third on uneven bars (PB 9.850), tied for third on floor exercise (PB-tying 9.900) and earned All-Tournament First Team in all three events to go along with All-Tournament First Team in all-around (38.925, fifth place).
Junior Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) earned All-Tournament First Team on balance beam (9.825, fifth), floor (season-high 9.875, T-7th) and all-around (PB 39.250, third) and notched All-Tournament Second Team on vault (tied season-high 9.800, T-10th) and bars (9.750, T-12th).
Sophomore Gwen Ockerbloom (Granby, Conn.) matched her personal best with a 9.850 on vault for a share of second place, and sophomore Anne Challman (Lewisburg, Pa.) notched sole possession of second place on floor with a 9.925.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Beam – (Team Score – 48.625)
•The Wildcats opened the meet on beam, with freshman Mady Harvey (Freeland, Mich.) leading off with a 9.800. She tied for eighth place to notch All-Tournament First Team honors.
•Mullin's team-leading 9.825 came from the anchor position; she was part of a three-way tie for fifth.
•Senior Alyssa Beaulieu (Holyoke, Mass.) equaled her season high (9.725) to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Second Team (T-14th).
•Towson's Clara Hong topped the podium with a 9.900, followed by Temple's Brooke Donabedian (9.875).
Floor – (Team Score – 49.225)
•UNH showed out on floor with a 49.225, its second-highest score of the season (49.400, Feb. 9).
•All-Tournament First Teamers Challman, Reade and Mullin paced the lineup.
•Sophomore Poulina Minaev (Smithtown, N.Y.) added a 9.775 (T-23rd), sophomore McCall McMullen (Athens, Ga.) scored a 9.750 (25th) and senior Gracy Mowers (Middleton, Mass.) capped her career with a 9.700 (T-28th).
•GWU's Kendall Whitman scored a 9.950 to edge Challman by 0.025 for the gold.
Vault – (Team Score – 49.100)
•Ockerbloom's and Reade's career-high-matching 9.850s headlined the Wildcats' best vault performance of the season. The duo was part of a five-way deadlock for second place.
•McMullen equaled her career high (9.825) for the fourth time, including back-to-back meets, for a share of seventh place and All-Tournament First Team recognition.
•Junior Leah Moreno (Cary, N.C.) posted a 9.775 to tie for 15th and a berth on the All-Tournament Second Team.
•George Washington's Delaney DeHaan won vault with a 9.875.
Bars – (Team Score – 48.750)
•Senior Julia Before (Sutton, Vt.) closed out her collegiate career with a career-high 9.775, which tied Moreno for team-high distinction; the duo was part of a four-way tie for eighth place and All-Tournament First Team accolades.
•GWU's Lola Montevago and Towson's Isabella Minervini shared the bar victory (9.900) to narrowly defeat Reade (9.850).
All-Around
•Minervini won the all-around championship (39.425), followed by DeHaan (39.350), Mullin (PB-39.250), Montevago (39.025) and Reade (38.925).
