Mullin Wins Fourth Straight All-Around in Wildcats' Dual-Meet Loss to GWU

Revolutionaries defeat Wildcats, 195.325-194.200, in Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex
DURHAM, N.H. – Junior Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) totaled a 38.950 to win her fourth straight all-around championship, but the UNH gymnastics team was defeated, 195.325-194.200, by George Washington in Sunday afternoon's Girls and Women in Sports Celebration dual meet in the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex.
Mullin, who scored a personal-best on uneven bars (9.750) and a season-high on balance beam (9.850), has captured five AA titles in the last six meets and has topped the all-around podium six times in nine meets this season.
UNH, which sustained its first home loss since Jan. 11 vs Minnesota, slipped to 9-11 overall and 2-2 in the EAGL regular-season standings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Vault (Team Score – 48.700)
•Senior Gracy Mowers (Middleton, Mass.) set a season high with a 9.800 to match freshman Aine Reade (Merrimac, Mass.) for second place.
•It was Mowers' highest vault score since she notched a 9.825 on March 12, 2023.
•Reade tied her personal best for the third time this season (Jan. 26, Jan. 31).
•Junior Leah Moreno (Cary, N.C.) scored a 9.775 to share fourth place with GWU's Rachel Katz.
•Delaney DeHaan of George Washington topped the podium with a 9.875.
Uneven Bars (Team Score – 47.775)
•Sophomore Zoe Arthur (El Segundo, Calif.) headlined UNH's bar lineup with a 9.775 for third place.
•Mullin placed fourth with her career-best 9.750.
•GWU's Lola Montevago and Deana Sheremeta shared first place (9.825).
Balance Beam (Team Score – 48.875)
•The Wildcats defeated the Revolutionaries on beam, 48.875-48.850.
•Mullin tied GWU's Montevago and Brooke Izzo for second place (9.850).
•GWU's Kendall Whitman won the event with a 9.875.
•UNH sophomores Anne Challman (Lewisburg, Pa.) and Gwen Ockerbloom (Granby, Conn.) shared fifth place (9.825).
•That score tied a personal-best for Challman and matched a season-high for Ockerbloom.
•Reade equaled a career-high 9.775 to finish in seventh place.
Floor Exercise (Team Score – 48.850)
•The Wildcats finished the meet strong on floor, led by Challman's 9.825 (third place).
•Mullin and Reade tied for fourth (9.800), and Mowers placed sixth (9.775).
•Reade, EAGL's No. 1-ranked floor competitor, has scored a 9.800 or higher in all nine meets of her career.
•Whitman won the event with a 9.875, followed by DeHaan (9.850).
All-Around
•Mullin edged DeHaan (38.550), EAGL's top-ranked all-arounder, for the top spot, with Reade placing third (38.350).
