Sevilla-Connelly Leads ‘Cats to Victory at Paul Short Run

Nicolas Sevilla-Connelly takes first as Wildcats win College Brown 8k.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – University of New Hampshire senior Nicolas Sevilla-Connelly (Chester, N.H.) took first in the College Brown 8k race at the 46th annual Paul Short Run. The men's cross country team won the College Brown 8k race with a team score of 161 points.
Sevilla-Connelly finished first with a time of 24:26.9, a new personal best in the 8k by almost a full minute. He was followed by UNH's second top-10 finisher, junior James Wilkes (Concord, N.H.) who took fourth with a personal best time of 24:53.7.
The Wildcats finished 65 points ahead of the next two teams in the standings, a tie between So. Connecticut State and Binghamton at 226.

The Wildcats head back to Boston next Saturday, October 12 to take on the New England Cross Country championship meet.

Other scoring Wildcats included:
• Junior Aidan Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) took 26th overall with a time of 25:09.6, a new personal best by almost half a minute.
• Senior Alexander Saveliev (Concord, N.H.) was the 56th to cross the finish line with a new personal best time of 25:25.9.
• Freshman Forest MacKenzie (Deerfield, N.H.) took 75th with a time of 25:32.6.
• Rounding out the scorers was senior Nicholas Brown (Conway, N.H.) who took 85th in 25:37.8, defeating his old best 8k time of 26:05.6.
