UNH Hosts St. Lawrence For Two (Thurs. 4 P.M., Fri. 12 P.M.)

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team continues its three-game homestand to open the season welcoming in the St. Lawrence University Saints to the Whittemore Center this Thursday and Friday.

LAST TIME OUT
- UNH opened its season against Franklin Pierce on Sunday, September 29.
- The Wildcats tallied six goals from six different players on their way to a 6-0 victory over the Ravens.
- Three seniors, redshirt Taylor Wenczkowski (Rochester, N.H.), Carlee Turner (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and Meghara McManus (Milton, Mass.) all tallied three points in the contest as redshirt sophomore Ava Boutilier (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) stopped all 14 shots faced in the contest.

BOUTILIER MAKES A COMEBACK
Redshirt-sophomore goaltender Ava Boutilier made her first start since 2018 in the season opener, after missing the majority of last season with an injury. Boutilier stopped all 14 shots on net for her second career shutout. She was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for her season-opening efforts, the fifth weekly award of her career.

ABOUT ST. LAWRENCE
- The Saints (Canton, N.Y.) come into the week with a 0-2-0 record on the season after their series with Ohio State.
- SLU has yet to play a home game, opening up its first four games on the road.
- Last season St. Lawrence and New Hampshire played two overtime contests in Canton; a 1-1 tie in game one and a last-second overtime win for the Saints in game two, 1-0.
- All-time, New Hampshire has a 29-14-6 record against St. Lawrence. UNH's last win against the Saints came in September of 2013.
